Javier Rubinstein was affiliated with Mayer Brown from 1989
to 2006, when he left the Firm to become General Counsel of
PricewaterhouseCoopers International. While at the Firm, he concentrated his
practice on complex commercial appeals, constitutional and civil rights cases,
and international arbitration. He has argued numerous cases before the federal
and state courts of appeals, and has argued two cases in the United States
Supreme Court. In addition to his work at Mayer Brown Javier has served as a
Lecturer in Law at the University of Chicago Law School, where he taught U.S.
Supreme Court Litigation and International Arbitration.
Javier is a cum laude graduate of the Georgetown University Law
Center, where he won each of the law school's appellate advocacy competitions
and was named to Georgetown's National Moot Court Team and its Honor Roll of
Advocates. He also served as a member of Georgetown's Journal of Law and
Policy in International Business. Javier also is a graduate of the John F.
Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, where he received a
Masters of Public Policy degree.
